Entry Fee - $300 - $325 (Depending on tournament)

The tournament format will be the SPO modified double knockout (3 game guarantee). SPO will do the scheduling of all tournaments which will be posted on the website by Wednesday prior to the tournament.

A minimum of 12 teams is needed for a tournament to be a sanctioned “D” Series Event

Point Structure:
1st – 25 points, 2nd - 20 points, 3rd – 15, 4th - 10 points, 5th & 6th - 8 points.

Participation Points:

1^st Event – 5 points

2^nd Event – 5 points + an additional 3 points = 8

3^rd Event – 5 points + an additional 5 points = 10

Prizes and payout structures: Prize money will be paid for each event. 1^st place jackets will be provided to the winners of each tournament.

The winning team in each tournament will earn a berth to the appropriate USSSA World Tournament  for 2010 or 2011.

Registration:

All teams must be members of Slo-Pitch Ontario.

All teams must register through the SPO Website. When completed, the team contact will receive an email with information to access the D-Series Team Contact area where they can submit their roster and apply for the desired tournament(s). Tournament applications must be submitted by Monday noon the week of the tournament.

Rosters.

All rosters will be monitored by SPO. Roster may not include players on a current Super Series roster.

All rosters must be submitted online no later than Monday noon the week of the tournament.

Two player changes will be permitted to an existing "D" Series team roster per tournament. Changes will be submitted online. Any changes must be approved by SPO. A $10.00 per player fee will be charge for each change.

Use of an ineligible player will result in:
              - Loss of all D-Series points
              - Team including all players and managers will be suspended for remainder of season with a further review by the SPO Disciplinary Committee.

Any team that forfeits the start of a game during a tournament will be suspended from the remainder of the tournament and will receive no points.
A player ejected from a D-Series game may not participate in his/her team's next D-Series game with further review by the SPO Disciplinary Committee.

Participation - teams must compete at least 2 events (one must be the Provincials) to be eligible for the D Series Championship.

SPO reserves the right to make changes to these rules as perceived to be in the best interests of the series.
