In accordance with the new SPO Reclassification Policy, teams whose names have a “+” beside them (those who placed in the top 10% in competition) will not be able to appeal this decision for the 2010 season. Appeals for the other teams (those who placed in the top 20% in competition) will only be considered once a team has participated in one, possibly two, 2009 SPO Provincial Qualifying Tournaments at the higher level.

Teams with the right of appeal may submit an appeal to re-classify their team after they have participated in TWO, possibly ONE, SPO Tournaments in their new classification. After such time, they may appeal the division change by completing the Appeal of Division Change Form found on their zone page on this website. This is the only method of appealing the team’s classification.

It is the responsibility of each team and players to know their classification. Any team knowingly applying for a division lower than their classification or that changes its name or team contact in an effort to remain in a lower division and then attempts to play in a division lower than what they have been moved to, will face a suspension from SPO.

Existing teams planning on adding players or re-organizing or two or more teams planning to combine should click here to view the guidelines for reclassification to ensure they apply for the proper division.
